Spending our last week in Kolkata (Calcutta)

Internet connections have been limited for us here in India.  We are now in our fourth week, and looking forward to going home soon.  We are really enjoying our time here and since it's just Fe and I, we've been free to plan our own schedule, de-compress, de-brief and put our past three weeks in perspective. We've traveled to many villages and met many beautiful people.  Our day at the Cherial Women's School was really special and loved meeting the girls and staff.

We've ventured out into the busy streets of Calcutta for the past two days sightseeing and shopping; and today attended a volunteers orientation meeting at the Missionaries of Charity Motherhouse, to serve at the Prem Dan House for the destitute and dying.  Our stay at the Baptist Missionary Society Guesthouse started by William Carey back in the 1800's, has been a relaxing and comfortable place for us and meals are provided so we don't have to worry about eating foods that could make us sick.  We are very thankful for good health thus far!!
