We are halfway!

We are at Susie and Dhanu's home in Kothagudem with Lindsey, Karuna and Kiran. Today is my first opportunity to use internet!  The past two weeks attended a three hour colorful Christian wedding in our beautiful sarees; boating in the backwaters of Kerala; shopping in Cocina around Jew Town (one of the oldest synagogues in India dating back to the 1500's); traveled by train for 30 hours to Ramagudem to fellowship, speak, pray and attend the Sunday School teacher's training program for three days in which we lead a puppet making workshop, with believers at the Calvary Gospel Church in Godavari Khani; ministered at a small remote village last night which was planted by Franklin & Margaret Wiig (Susie's parents) in the late '60's; traveled to Peddapalli to The Indian Mission School which was established in 1943 by missionaries for  Indian pastor's children and presently educates local village children (over 600) and had the opportunity to share the word with the students in chapel and in classrooms; next we made our way to Mancherial to visit with Paul and Caroline Wiig (Susie's brother) and minister to students at the Haven of Hope School (elementary through high school) where they teach Telugu, the state language of Andra Pradesh, as well as English medium to approx. 600 and board 350 boys and girls in their hostels; traveled ten hours by bus last night to Kothagudem and are finally at Susie and Dhanu's home with Lindsey, Karuna and Kiran.  We will stay here and walk the prayer- walk the neighborhood, and attend church with them on Sunday.  Monday we depart for Hyderabad where we will meet Peter Wiig (Susie's other brother) who has a ministry with under-privileged children tutoring and discipling them...from there we will visit Cherial Women's Bible  School (2 year program studying the Bible and how to minister), where we will speak and teach them how to sew puppets and dolls.  We depart Hyderabad on the 17th for Kolkata (Calcutta) and will be there working at the Missionaries of Charity for seven days.  


God has given us the opportunity to meet and befriend so many beautiful Indian people!  The schedule and travel has been very exhausting at times, but all of it has been GOOD.  We thank you soooo much for all your prayers and support...without we would not be here.  More details later....
